Clerget: Honor the fruit, land and vintage
The slow and steady rhythm of Christian Clerget is expressed in the primitive tools he uses in his Vougeot cellar. Using an archaic iron pulley of sorts to tip the barrel forward, and what looks like a tire pump to fill the barrel with air. Each tool contributing to a gentle movement from barrel to bottle, replacing any need for mechanical pumping. Clerget’s 6H are one year away from organic certification, believing that the only real secret to a great wine is an exceptional grape.
Hand harvested and 100% destemmed. Bottled unfiltered.
